It is sounding to me like this is a deck placed on top of the roof of the living room, but not clear. A couple of questions to better understand your situation and give a meaningful answer - respond back using the Answer This Question yellow button right below your question, just as if you were answering your own question. If you want, you can attach photo(s) using the leftmost yellow icon at the left of the gray bar in the your Answer page where you will be putting your reply. You can respond back item by item just by question number if you want.

1) is the deck on the roof of the living room, or do you mean the deck is an outdoor deck over dirt and the living room is on the level below the deck and is getting wet when the rain hits the area where the deck is connected to the house on the outer wall, above the living room ?

2) if deck is on the roof of living room, what material is the roof madeof, about what slope (if any), and how is the deck supported on the roof - on pavers or concrete blocks, metal brackets penetrating the roof, or what

3) what material is deck made of

4) if deck is solid (as opposed to plank decking), does it drain water to the front edge or pond it, and if ponding, is this against the house

5) where in the living room is it leaking in

6) Anderson sliding door - where does this come in - is the "deck" actually an encloded porch or such, or is the sliding door in the living room ?

7) if living room was there before, did the leak start only after the deck was put on ?

8) is the work that was done just before the leak started still under builder's warranty ?
