Question DetailsAsked on 5/16/2011

how do I estimate propane usage for heating only?

Just talked to our propane supplier for the first time yesterday, and their estimate monthly budget plan amount is much higher than what we were told the previous occupants paid per month for propane. Since there is no meter or monthly reading, there isn't going to be any way I can determine if we're going to be overcharged until the end of the heating season.

I have a seven-page PDF file prepared by Kansas State University in 2003 that compares prices to heat/cool with a variety of fuels.

I don't see an obvious method for putting the file as an attachment to my response. If you want it, I put a message in your inbox with my e-mail address... drop me a note to tell me where to send it.

I'd cut 'n paste but don't want to lose the structure of the tables in the document.

EDIT TO ADD - - I think I found it on the internet. See if you find it at http://www.engext.ksu.edu/henergy/space/Heat_Cool_Costs.pdf

If you do, you can still keep my e-mail address. I only fear crazy people.
