R-410a and Freon (R-22) are different refrigerants - R-22 (Freon) retail prices are all over the place from around $25-35 on up into the $150+ range because of the current phaseout of its use and production - R-410a is currently right at $10/lb from Honeywell, in the $10-25/lb range from various manufacturers and local vendors, in contractor-sized bottles.

Note some vendors include the labor in the refill cost per pound, some charge a separate refill / test labor and equipment fee ($150-250 that I have seen/heard of) plus so much per pound for the refrigerant.

I would guess for most parts of the country, and assuming probably around 10 lbs plus or minus a few, something around $500 plus or minus a hundred or two, though could run (with possible amount of gas needed running from around 6-7 pounds up to 12-15 depending on brand and lineset length and on whether he uses the refrigerant to flush the lines or not) could run from as low as maybe $200-250 to as much as $1500-1700 with different 3 ton systems across the country.

Note that several of the following links to previous similar and related questions with answers make the point that refilling is not a "solution" and is technically illegal if the leak is not located and fixed first - plus if you do not fix it you will be looking at another similar refill within a year or less.
