When you state , Replace Plumbing , are you speaking of reattaching

the faucet and drain lines OR , are you speaking of NEW lines in the wall's ?

IF you are reffering to removal and replacement of a 24" VanityW/ sink , Faucet and reconnection of the faucet lines ,a large part of the cost will incurr the type and cost of the vanity or vanity that includes a Top , or a Vanity , A separate Top ,a separate sink, a faucet supply lines etc.

I have been in scenarios where the Total package Costs , ranged from $300.00 to $1200.00 and perhaps more ,depending on the type of products chosen , the chosen and of course ,the Installation of the products being attached to existing Plumbing rough in's.

It is almost impossible to give you a closer range of prices , cause everyone has differing taste and likes !

I would have said much the same as Ben, but would have said $600-3000 depending on fanciness - $300 seems a bit low for new vanity and faucet and sink and some under-cabinet plumbing mods, including the vanity removal and install and plumbing.

I used a higher top-end because a lot of people are going with top-end countertops with fancy front edge and backsplash detailing and high-value wood cabinets in bathrooms now - I have seen some countertop material that goes $200/SF for the material alone, without install - that is $2000 in countertop ALONE for a 5 footer.

Even had one installed in a movie actor's LARGE master bathroom - about 3 by 10 foot dual-sink, made of high grade gold and silver ore custom cut out of a gold mine - totalled over $50,000 for the raw slab BEFORE polishing and installation - and this was decades ago - ain't it tough being the 1% !

As Usual, LCD is again Spot ON .

In the area that I live , SW Virginia ,the foothills of the Appalachains , between

The University of Virginia and the State University of VIRGINIA TECH , Go HOKIES.

Most of the clients here are in the Lower Class and Lower Middle Upper Class . I have had a few Lower and Upper Middle Class Clients ,DOCTORS , Railroad Vice Presidents and INfluential ATTORNEYS , but NO Clients considered to be UPPER CLASS at least by Hollywood standards !

Many Clients here ,are just plain Hard Working Joes , and for some of them , consider a $300.00 vanity assembly to be a rich mans Ransom especially when considering that 40-50 years ago they lived in Log Cabins and used OutHouses for toilet facilities. So granted , in comparison to the clients LCD has worked with ,who might commonly buy or purchase

$ 1000.00 sink fixtures ,YES $ 300.00 is cheap . BUT it is a differnce between classes and position in life ! In some of my clients homes ,I have installed Medicine Cabinets worth more than some clients entire Bathroom remodels !

Were I fortunate enough to have more wealthy clients ,My Standard of living would certainly be higher, nor would I have to work as hard to stay ahead of the bill collectors.

Needless to say , before the Current Recession hit and before several Well to do clients passed away ,life was much easier as dollars flowed more easily , but LIFE is What IT IS

and we ALL GROW, Where WE Are PLANTED !

SO , All of that is said for the simple reason of , what is Trash to one Person is Gold to another !

The beauty of Angies List ,is that IT covers The Entirety of Our AMERICA ,The U.S.A.

and covers ALL Types of Economic Strata . From the Poor to the Wealthy , and Therefore , Price ranges and expense's Cover the Full Gamut and Ranges available throughout our Country....Therfore it is a Snap Shot of all things that we have

in common , which is , The Desire to better ourselves and Move Up in Class

and Creature comforts .

I take NO Offense to what is said by those fortunate enough to Work or Deal

with those who are more affluent ,and YES , I wish I had more affluent Clients ,but reality is , that we deal with those where we are at , and business reflects that very scenrio. SO , the comments offered are merely a snapshot of experiences that occurr where ever we have been planted !
