Bear in mind the prices indicated are per Square Foot (SF) of area being painted, NOT the floorplan square footage. For instance, for a 10x14 room with typical 7 foot ceiling height, you have 10x14=140SF of ceiling, and (10+14+10+14)x7=336 SF of wall (assuming doors are being painted too) or about 476 SF of painted area. Commonly, painters do not deduct for windows or doors not being painted because it takes more work to mask and seperately paint the trim, so it about comes out if you just include the total SF on the wall, and saves a lot of measuring and figuring time.
