The radon level is 3.8, the test was conducted with open windows, my husband has no immune system, this seems concerning, can anyone help inform me of if this is a valid concern?

Radon gas has only one health threat. Lung cancer. The decomposition of the radon atom creates two polonium elements which we inhale. As they decompose, radioactive protons/neutrons are released which either kill or mutate or lung tissue. Our bodies regenerate new cell tissue but when there is a mutation, threat of lung cancer is increased.

Hope this helps
