Quick and dirty solution is lysol spray, though it can stain the paint or drywall. Suppresses it pretty good but does not get rid o it totally.

Thorough solution is washing - once with dish soap like Dawn to get the worst of the oils and smoke buildup off, then with TSP (available at building supply, box, or grocery store - powder in a box) and Borax powder (straight Borax, NOT Boraxo) mixed together 1:1 as powder before adding to water. Don't forget ceiling which will have the worst accumulation, and garage door and floor also.

Use heavy rubber gloves as TSP really chaps the skin, and wear glasses or goggles as it is no good for the eyes - not like bleach, but still no fun.
