Probably cheapest - maybe with a friend - rent an appliance moving hand truck (which has straps to strap the item to it) and wrap an old blanket or such around it to keep the straps off the glass and to contain the glass in case it breaks, then wheel it out. Hand truck rental about $10-15/day at tool rental places. OR find a couple of strong friends who will do it for pizza and beer.

But what is going to happen with it when it gets to the curb ? Are you putting a FREE - WORKS sign on it ? Or putting it out for trash company to pick up. If the latter, check with them first - both on weight of item allowed IF they will pick up items not in the dumpster/trash can, and on whether they take tube-type TV's - they do not in many areas because of the mercury in the tube, has to be handled as hazardous waste at the dump.

I would say best bet is a Hauler - trash haulers like come and clean up yard or attic or such and haul the junk away - typically $75-100 range minimum charge though sometimes higher.
