Can anyone tell me about moving companies that they have used in the last year or so. Planning a move from New England to North Carolina in the summer.

Along with Angies list make sure that you look at their authority at http://www.protectyourmove.gov. Lookat their insurance the number of complaints and if they have any hostage loads.
Make sure you go with a company that does not charge a deposit. this is a sign of a big scam. Most of the carriers that are reputable will not charge a deposit or money up front. You pay upon delivery.

We hope you found someone to assist in your move. If you have not, the other posters have put up some great websites for advise.

As an agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving, we would suggest finding the local Wheaton agent in your area, at least for a start.

Either way we strongly suggest you go with a large van line for your move and have them come out to your home for a visual estimate.

Best of luck to you!
