If this insurance is through your employer that's probably your best offer. However, if you have no pre-existing conditions, talk to the private market. Rates for singles w/no pre-existing illness can be less expensive, but you have to factor in all your co-pays and out of pocket expense to get the true cost. You can contact insurance companies that offer health plans by phone or on the internet.
