Contact a reputable health insurance broker for assistance. This is the unfortunate part of the health insurance industry, however, the plus side is that when 1 carrier is raising rates, another is lowering them as well, so there is always an option to save a little money.

If this insurance is through your employer that's probably your best offer. However, if you have no pre-existing conditions, talk to the private market. Rates for singles w/no pre-existing illness can be less expensive, but you have to factor in all your co-pays and out of pocket expense to get the true cost. You can contact insurance companies that offer health plans by phone or on the internet.
