Ahhh - another of these type questions :

Yeah - not only real high charge, but testing has shown that they are of minimal value in most installations and can cause serious moisture retention issues, the blankets typcially lose a vast majority of their radiation characteristics in a year or two because of dust accumulation on them, plus a great many of the manufacturers and vendors falsify the supposed insulation benefit. Not to mention the fact that even if you believed the insulating values they claim, you can get additional conventional insulation for a small fraction of the cost in most cases.

Below are a number of prior questions with answers about this type of product - you can also find information recommending against them and listing them as commonly a source of fraud at the federal government EPA and Consumer Protection Agency websites.

The aluminum insulation HomeWest offers is a multi layer insulation its 99.9% pure aluminum on both sides wich does NOT lose effectiveness, is perforated on both sides with a guarantee not to trap moisture with a sand a silicone inner layer which is proven to wick moisture. Not to mention it has a life time warranty, which no other insulation can offer, period. Before acknowledging answers make sure they have their facts straight on which product they are refering to. There are many aluminum insulations that will cause moisture retention and lose effectivness, however HomeWest's products are backed by nasa technology as well as are endorsed by actual astronauts.
