stainless steel countertops in Houston, TX

I'm planning a kitchen remodel, and I am considering having stainless steel countertops fabricated and installed. Can anyone recommend a contractor/company who works in Houston, TX that can do this work?

Stainless steel is a metal alloy created by mixing chromium into regular steel. It gained its popularity for having higher resistance to corrosion and rust. Once chromium has been added into it, it creates a protective layer that makes steel less reactive to water and air, therefore slowing down the process of oxidation (rusting).

Anyone have stainless steel countertops in their home? I'm wanting to do a stainless steel top on my island in my kitchen and I'm wondering if anyone has them and if they like them or not?

I can't help you with the original request, but I will note that SS has a natural antibacterial qualities. That's why it is used in commercial kitchens.

I recently remodeled a kitchen with Copper counter tops. It looked awesome. I think Stainless Steel would look good too. I have been doing odd jobs like this since being laid off to help pay for my Medical insurance COBRA. It is hard work but pays well.

Good Luck,
