Auto Sales is the Search the List category to find well-rated and reviewed car sales companies.

And be sure to get a CarFax report (and I would not settle for any other car report company) which will show its title status and reported insurance claims against on for wrecks, flooding, etc.

And of course use the Kelly Blue Book or similar used car guide (ask to SEE thier copy, not just take their word what it says) to see what the "blue book" price is on the car you preliminarily select - then negotiate down from there.

And remember, for a first car - especially since needed for work and college class commuting, don't got for just "any car" - you weant one which shows promise of being reliable and safe (hopefully for 4 or more years, till out of college) and is safe for any winter or unpaved road driving conditions it will have to handle - so you are likely to be looking at something in at leat the 41500 range to get past the true junkers - and more likely $2000-2500+ bare minimum.

And don't forget insurance costs, and possibly winter/studded tire costs depending on your locale - each of those can easily add $500-1000 to his/her first year cost. Actually in many areas more like $1000-2000 for the insurance on that age driver, especially if maloe - and don't forget any good grade or low annual mileage [usually below 7000 miles per year] discounts whjich may apply.
