who installs an attic fan

Our bathroom is beginning to get mold on the walls even though we used paint specifically for bathroom that said it repelled mold. Right outside the bathroom is my son's room who now has a spot of mold on his ceiling. We are thinking we need proper ventilation and want to install an attic fan to move the air better.'

There are probably a lot of home handymen that could do this as it is not to difficult for one with those types of skills. But be sure that the fan is vented to the outside of the house. I worked for a homebuilder and the city inspectors allowed all vents to be exhausted into the attic. So I did the same with mine. I looked up there in the winter and the whole interior of the attic was covered with frost. I can assure you that fan was vented to the outside the next day and most building codes call for outside venting. But one isn't required if the bathroom has an exterior window. But who opens a window in the middle of winter? Every bathroom should have an exterior vented fan. This will solve your problems but only if you use it. In rental homes we use bath fans that come on when the light is turned on.
