Though it does bring about a bit of liability from having them on your property in case they get injured, could Craigslist it for free, call a Firewood company to see if they want it (though would have to be a major limb equalling a good 40-50 pieces of fireplace sized wood to be worth them coming and getting it), or stack by the street with a Free sign on it.


Alternatively, if you have no use for firewood, call or visit neighbors with chimneys or wood stove vents and ask if they want it.


Or use as cribbed planter box, erosion control barriers in a gully, as a halfway dug-in border in the yard, as a log-cabin stacked log bin for compost or topsoil (if not cut too short), or as imagineering play material for the kids.
