About how much should it cost to establish the location of a tree in MD?

The large old white oak sits on or close to three adjoining lots but we don't know which ?

Typically about $125-200 for a Land Surveyor to determine the property line location and provide a stamped sketch (be sure to ask for this if determining ownership for responsibility for maintenance or for cutting down) showing tree location and whose property it is on. Cost range depends mostly on whether existing corner markers are in place or he has to reconstruct them.

Typically about $50-100 or so extra (on same visit) to provide rebar markers of the property lines if your corners have been destroyed (points on line). This assume property line visibility - not significantly obstructed by trees or fences or such.

I put pieces of PVC pipe about 6 inches long around the top of the line marking rebar (usually 1/2" rebar) to mark its location so it is easier to find in the future.
