Presumably that was for a coupon or Deal - which you would then present to the vendor as payment (or partial payment, as applicable), per the terms of the deal/coupon. If you paid full price to the vendor and presented the deal/coupon per its terms then contact him about a refund. If you paid full price because you failed to present it, he might or might not accept it and refund you now - but probably not legally required to.
