Any green contactors in NorthernVA?

Does anyone know of a good contractor that uses low or no VOC products for remodeling? I have sensitivities to the chemicals in paint, glue, particle board, etc. I've read about newer products that are on the market now with less off gassing VOCs. I was wondering how to find a contactor to remodel my kitchen, bath and floors using low or no chemical emitting materials.

    Hi Karen1618,

Yes, there are many new low or no VOC products out there. I would suggest checking Angie's List for highly rated contractors who work with those products. If you login to and go to the "Search" field near the top, left of the page, you can search by "Keyword". Try typing in "low VOC" or "no VOC" and see what the results display. You can view the profiles of those service companies displayed to learn more about what they offer. I would recommend contacting at least three different companies to get a range of what they offer.

If you're having difficulty finding someone on the site, feel free to give us a call at 888-944-5478 and one of our neighborhood specialists would be happy to search for a company that qualifies to fit your needs.

    I hope that helps some.
