Are issues with mold real or hype?

Very real, but a lot of mold removal contractors who are shysters hype it too. However, if you smell it, there is a respiratory risk is a good rule, and for people in poor health, constantly working in the area, or with respiratory problems can become a long-term chronic health problem or severe risk.

Basic rule - if you've got it, cure it, and the water source that is causing its growth as well.
