Too specific a category for AL to list as such - I would google or check with local VW owner's clubs about references, then cross-check by company names on AL to see if they have any reviews - likely in the Auto - Repair category.

Otherwise, check with local VW dealership - even if they do not service that old a car (some dealerships do not service older models they cannot get OEM parts for, some will use after-market parts if that is all that is available) and see if they can give recommendations, or if they will not "recommend" one they might at least tell you the names of any shops they know of who do it, without recommendation.

Also - you could ask around at Performance, offroad / Dune Buggy and Foreign Car specialty repair shops. Also racing shops - because some of the small Sprint race cars as well as many dune buggies use VW air cooled engines. Could also check with Porsche (though pricey), Subaru shops because of the number of air cooled engines those brands have used in the past. And Yugo and Corvair ;)
