Question DetailsAsked on 2/3/2014

Are there service folks who will come to my home and do my laundry? I'll provide washer, dryer and detergent.

Because of health issues, I'm unable to do my own laundry. I have breathing problems (COPD). I have my own washer and dryer which are located in my garage. I become quite short of breath very quickly, so I am unable to carry my dirty clothes to my garage and load my washer and dryer. Once the clothes are done, it's equally difficult for me to empty the dryer and carry the clothes back to my bedroom and fold and/or hang them in my closet.

Another category that might do it is a Personal Care provider - and if one is needed for medical reasons so you can perform your ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) they will commonly run loads of laundry or dishes for you while they are there for assisting you with your ADL's, which might be Medicare or insurance covered.
