That can vary - you didn't specify if you are doing an attic or walls. Walls can be a lot more expensive, since they need to cut holes and fill each cavity.

We did our attic with blown fiberglass and that was only $600 but our attic is small, plus $50 more for a wind-powered vent.

If you are doing an attic I highly recommend that you consider using closed cell spray foam instead. It'll cost more up front but the energy savings are SUBSTANTIAL. We did spray foam in other areas of our house and the difference was just incredible. For this, get 3-4 quotes from LOCAL companies that have the big truck rigs - they give you the best prices. It'll be about $1 - 1.25 per square foot per inch. You only need 3-4" to give a really fantastic result. Our ROI will be only 3-4 years. Our heating and cooling bills were SO much better after putting it in, and one small ventless heat pump was able to now keep up against the hottest days of July.

Good luck!
