What is the average price for a car?

Tough question to answer. 2 door or 4 door? 4 cylinder, 6, 8 or 10? Foreign of domestic? See there are too many variables to answer that question.

The following are the variables I look for when pricing a new roof. Existing size, existing details, access to the roof for materials and garbage, how many layers, how tall, how steep, what kind and quantities of materials to be installed?

Basically, when I am pricing out a job I make a complete materials list for that job. I then take my best guess as to labor, or how long the job will take. Some sales men who don't understand roofing or poor business men who don't understand their numbers may price by the square. Pricing by the square is sometimes called the going rate, but I call it the going out of business rate since it's almost never accurate.

You see, you can take a 1,000 sq ft very steep very difficult home and it may cost more than a 1,500 sq ft easy walkable simple job. Size is only a small factor of the cost.

Hi, Joy.

Our best advice is always to get at least three detailed estimates from the more than 550 top-rated roofers in the greater Detroit area. That way, you can get apples-to-apples cost estimates.
