Can I use Aquapex pipes in an apartment building in the City of Santa Clara?

We have a 2 story apartment building in the City of Santa Clara, CA. We are looking to repipe. Instead of the costly copper type L, can we use aquapex instead

On a quick scan through the Silicon Valley code amendments (which Santa Clara adheres to) I see nothing prohibiting, and google and there are a lot of contractors adevertising replacement of copper or galvanized water pipes with Pex in Santa Clara houses and apartments, so probably yes.

This assumes Aquapex brand name meets the manufacturing standards under the UPC.

If uncertain, check which materials standards Aquapex meets (on their website or on the tubing itself) and then check with the Santa Clara Building department.
