Can I attach a hangboard to my rafters?

I have a hangboard which is used in rock climbing that I would like to put up in my attic. The house currently has collar beams, but they are quite flimsy and I can't imagine anything hanging off of them.

What I would like to know is, can I attached a 2x4 to across the attic to the rafters, essentially as another collar beam, and then attach the hangboard to the center of this new collar beam? All of my weight (less than 150lbs) would be pulling down on the hangboard. If not OK in the center, would it be OK left / right of center?
