Question DetailsAsked on 11/12/2014

Can I find a man or two to help lift risers in church?

We'd need two men to come to Morningside Baptist Church in midtown Atlanta on Monday, Nov 17 at 7:30am to bring risers up from church basement and place in Sanctuary. And move some big altar chairs and columns from Sanctuary to a sunday school room. May take an hour.
Come back on Friday, Nov 21 at 11am after our performances to return all to their original position.

Normally a church group or performing group would get volunteers (or "invite" volunteers) from the group itself or parents of kids in the group to do this. The church might also have a volunteer or mother's group or teenage youth group that could pitch in, if this is a church activity you are doing - or even if not, maybe would do it for a donation to the church.

Otherwise, a Moving and Storage company could send a crew. Haulers (the trash hauling companies that come and pick up junk and haul it off from your house or yard) also commonly do moving like this. Your tough part is going to be getting a specific time committment and then having them show up right on time, and what happens if they are a no-show ? I would, especially on the lead end, leave enough advance time between the move and the first performance/practice that you can make a desperate call to another moving company for a couple of guys - which might take a day or so.
