Question DetailsAsked on 9/12/2013

Can't find a brick mason to repair cracks in my exterior brick walls. Recommedations please!

My home has a brick exterior (over wood foundation). There are many cracks that need repair before I have more water damage. I need someone to clean out the cracks, blow them out and stuff them with brick mortor. I suppose other materials can be used for smaller cracks. I cannot find a mason in my area? Who can do this job?

You might get some answers if you put a location of services needed. And by wood foundation do you mean wood frame house on a concrete block of concrete foundation?

If you can't find a local Mason, ask your local building supply (NOT box) store.

If you are in such a remote area there are no masons, if you are pretty sure you do not have structural issues, a Chimney Sweep commonly does this type of repair, and a conscientious Handyman could handle it.

Where are you in the U.S? This is acommon problem and can be addressed by either a handyman of knowledge or a mason contractor
