Can a handyman fix a broken door frame?

The front door is out of the frame and needs to be put back in place

You don't say what kind of door - I don't see how it can be out of its frame unless the hinges are coming loose. If you mean the door and frame are loose in the rough opening that is just a matter or renailing or using screws to install, unless you are in concrete or brick walls in which case expansion or friction anchors.

A handyman who is familiar with doors should be able to handle this - but if in concrete or brick wall and the entire door and frame is loose, be sure he has experience in this before you hire him - a door installer might be a better bet in that case to reduce the possibility of your wall being broken up by his installation efforts.
