Can't leave a review for a company I just worked with - I cannot find them in the Write a Review section

I just worked with a computer company that I found on your website - he has reviews already on Angies list but when I go to the write a review section I cannot get it to come up? Why wouldn't there be a link or something on his page? There's even a banner at the top of my screen that says "Leave a review for Arundel Technologies by Feb 18 and get $3" If they want customers to leave reviews they should provide more links and make it as easy as possible. I really would like to leave a review because this guy did a great job but I have been searching for a half hour now with no luck.

Paying for reviews is a violation of Angies List terms of service, so if this Arundel posted adware on your computer so it brought up that banner message, not only is that cause for booting them from Angies List, but is also a grossly unprofessional thing for a computer repair company to do - not to mention probably a federal law violation for downloading software to your computer that you did not authorize.

I would talk to Angies List staff about this - and personally, if this was a banner posted on your computer by the vendor, I would give them an F rating AND have your computer looked at by an independent source (or load virus detection software from Intuit or others) to check for other spyware. A computer repair company that would do that might well be unethical in other ways as well and have downloaded tracking or keylogging virus software on your computer. The FBI issued a warning some time ago about computer services offering too-good-to-be-true computer tuneup and upgrade deals, which turned out to be a gang that ran standard Windows defragmentation and virus checking software, maybe "upgraded" with some bottleag software, then disabled the virus software and loaded keylogging software to trap personal information and passwords.

If this is an Angies List banner, appearing on an Angies List webpage, then they are violating their own terms of service by paying people to post reviews.

Hi,

This is Kelly M. in Member Care. Thanks for your question! I'm happy to help.

You may be unable to find this provider if you're searching in your Columbus chapter as this provider is located in Baltimore. You can change to another search area by entering the ZIP code in the location bar on the website and hitting enter, or selecting the location from your list of favorites. Once you've done this, try searching for the provider again.

If you've received an AngieCash offer banner, you'll want to click the link in that banner to complete the action and receive your award. I see you've activated this offer already; if you need more help completing this AngieCash task, just let us know.

If you would like additional assistance through this forum, please let us know. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at
