Question DetailsAsked on 3/13/2016

Can you put brick veneer over brick veneer? We bought a new house but don't like the outside brick veneer color.

The outside brick veneer is in good shape we just don't like the brick color and want to change it. Dont want to paint it but also would like to know if we could put stone over brick veneer or another brick veneer over the old veneer without having to pull it all off.

I suppose you could, but likely to be ugly looking, especially at exposed edges where yuou will have to cover the edge with trim pieces to make it look acceptable, and might not stick well. Generally not tough at all to peel it off (though if over existing real brick likely to damage that beyond future aesthetic limits if you ever want to expose it again).

I would not do it - stain maybe if true brick veneer, or peel off and redo however you want.
