Question DetailsAsked on 9/21/2015

Can you please recommend top orthopedic surgeons for total knee replacement in Hartford County, CT?

I am an adult nurse practitioner and when you tell people that they ass-u-me that you know the best doctors for everything under the sun. I have not worked in a hospital in years and the two surgeons I would have recommended several years ago have gone "astray" and I would not let them take care of a pet rat...
I am hoping to get the names of some highly rated orthopedic surgeons to provide to an acquaintance who was told years ago he needed knee replacement surgery. His x-ray was described as "bone on bone" a few years ago and now it is really affecting his ability to walk. Once I receive these names, I am happy to research them and make a recommendation on whom I think may do the best job. The closest hospitals are The Hospital of Central Connecticut (formerly New Britain General Hospital), Hartford Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and possibly Yale New Haven Hospital (this is the farthest away). Thank you! Gayle
