Cost of carpet removal

How much does it cost to remove carpet from small bedrooms and staircases?

Generally $1-2/SY pull and dispose of - up to $5/sy for glued down. This does NOT include any repair of nail and staple holes and such - just pull carpet and padding and tack strips (if desired), and does NOT include resetting base/cove - just leave that in place. Minimum charge about $150-200 probably.


Some handymen, haulers do this. Normallyk done by flooringn installers preparatory to putting down new flooring.


No problem or special skil to do yourself (though a lot of labor if glued down) - just guess at dumpster size (you can always fill twice if needed) and go to it - goes fast.
