Cost of labor installation of 3x6 ceramic subway tiles for 20 sq ft kitchen backsplash with 5 wall outlets

Subway tiles can run from under $1/SF for the tile on up to over $10/SF and sometimes up to $20/SF if you buy them at a place selling them as a fad item, which is basically what they are today. Below are a bunch of similar questions (some for similar materials, not subway tile) with answers FYI - just subtract the $1-10/SF for the tile from the installed price - and maybe $1/SF for miscellaneous materials like thinset and grout and such.

Note bids for a small job like this will likely have a $250-300 minimum, and can very from each other by a factor of 2 or more so I would either get a top-rated reputation tile layer and pay his price, or get at least 3 bids to be able to see how the average pricing falls out.
