Here are links to several prior responses to that type of question which should help - note there are three components to rewiring a house :

1) the actual rewiring of circuits and putting in new outlets - possibly with some added circuits

2) replacing the breaker or fuse panel, possibly upgrading capacity at same time, especially if less than 200A or you have heavy electric use in the house or garage like electric heat or lots of power tools, welders or air compressors, etc.

3) upgrading the service - incoming wires from utility, meter, master breaker/disconnect box and lead to the breaker panel. Some or all of this may or may not be needed in particular cases, depending on code revisions and whether you are upgrading capacity or not.

You can find more prior responses to similar questions under each of those, and also all those and more in the Home > Electrical link in Browse Projects at lower left.
