And .... ?

For prior questions on foundation cracking, there are a few listed right below this answer - you can see these and more using the Home > Foundation Repair link right under your question.

If you use the Answer This Question button to provide more info, just as if you were answering the question, you can provide more info and attach photos if you can, so the contributors can give you a response tailored to your situation.

For instance, where in the wall or slab is the crack, horizontal or vertical, how long, one or several, straight or jagged, on a joint or across concrete/block, hairline or open, offset across the crack or surface remaining in a plane, water problems or not, what part of the country are you in (affects soil type), do you have a sump pump and /or underslab drainage system, do you have french drains outside (if you know), new construction or old, on grade salb or half or full basement or crawl space, construction materials of foundation (poured concrete, concrete block, brick, stone, wood),etc. The more detail (or even better, photos) you can give us, the more likely we can figure out what your situation likely is, give advice on whether this looks normal or is an urgent issue, type of contractor likely to be needed (if any), whether an engineer should e looking at this, etc.
