Ditch work and lawn leveling in baytown tx

I need to have my lawn leveled and force it to drain to my ditcn vrrsus ponding in my yard. Also my dich needs work as it also holds water. Needs to be reshaped to flow better. Who ca nelp me?

Be sure if the ditch is along the road (as opposed to on your property) that any work is cleared with the applicable road or drainage department. Also, if a ditch which naturally runs or holds water - always or intermittently (i.e. a natural drainage or a creek or such, rather than just a swale in your lawn) - carrying more than just runoff from your property, you would likely also need an environmental permit from local Planning and Zoning or Development department, or even the Corps of Engineers.

Generally, if a roadside ditch (which is usually the responsibility of the road department) best to have THEM clean it out and eliminate ponding (use mosquitos as the justification for your request), because they usually already have a blanket or "nationwide" permit for that type of work.
