Do you know anything about SFE energy?

Door-to-door salesman, told me I could save money on electricity bills. I signed a paper for a fixed price program. It states my PECO charge will remain at 9.39C/kWh for three increases! I'm still wondering how I can get this savings for nothing. The only info he got from me was name,address,DOB,e-mail address, phone# and my PECO acct. number. And they also state I will get cash back if I do not save money over the term of the agreement. You know "if it's too good to be true......"? I asked at least three times if this would cost me money and he replied, "Nothing".

This is an energy provider company. In my area, you normally have PGE, but they offer natural gas at a different rate. They send door to door salesmen, and in my experience, the salesman told me I could get energy more cheaply than I was currently paying. I had used a lot of energy for a pool heater, and for the span of a year I was using a large amount - and paying for it! Hence the lure of a cheaper rate. However, I was not informed at contract signing of important things, like its a 3 year contract, and you only pay a low rate for 41 therms a year. After that, it's higher and not a cost savings after all. When I looked at my bill the next month I was being charges as a large user. But since my husband passed away, I was the opposite. Nevertheless I was charged an extra fee each month by SFEE as a large user, regardless of the energy I really used. When I called them - and it is very difficult to get through, they said there is nothing I can do. If I wish to switch back to PGE I would have to pay almost 200 dollars in cancellation fees. Bottom line, I am posting this because I do not recommend them, as they fail to inform you when they come to your home of the facts. I intend to file with PUC about them, but if you see them, it is too good to be true and don't fall for it!

Don't fall for this! I had a very nice young woman come to my door with the same offer, we have solar and at the time were'nt even paying that much for gas at the time. So whatever "story" she told me must have sounded really good because I signed up for it. I think she must have said the program we had (Tiger Natural Gas) which by the way is a great supplier and I wish I never would have changed!! She said those rates would flucuate all over the place during the year but they had a flat rate. It sounded good to me. We got our first statement a few days ago and it was two and a half times higher than any of the rates we've ever had in the two years with Tiger. I just called to see if we could switch back to Tiger but he said PG&E only lets you change 3rd party supplier once in a year period so I have to wait until next August. I can however call and cancel SFE Energy California and go back to PG&E in the meantime...

Don't fall for this company!!!!

Yes, I know this comapny. They use tricks to sign you up, but they don't tell you the whole story and you end up losing money. I signed up with them for my gas supply (instead of the usual PG&E to save on gas bill but the opposite happened - I ended paying much more since they never mentioned aything about delivery fees. There is a long list of complaints against them on BBB, by the way they have F rating on BBB.
