In a word: Not. Because it's my home, I prefer to do business with a local company where I can sit down with someone face-to-face. Refinancing is a multistep process, and if I have questions, I would rather pick up the phone and talk to a person with whom I have met, and that I know will call me back quickly. When we refinanced, we did so with the bank that we have used for 21 years.

Also, because I am into computer security, I am leery of conducting any business online that would require me to supply all of my personal details over the internet; to the extent that a home refinancing does--regardless of whether the site promises that everything will be "done securely" or "sent to a secure FTP site". No encryption, no security.

This is just my opinion. Other people may see things differently.
