Question DetailsAsked on 2/23/2014

Does anyone know anything about Cumberland Hall in Hopkinsville Ky. This hospital had been hiding something.

My 7 year old was inpatient at this hospital and I never was given any answers from any of his services. I am trying to find out if anyone has any reviews from this hospital or knows anything about them. I have never seen a place ran like this place is.

If you google this search phrase - Cumberland Hall hospital complaints - you will find a number of sites regarding complaints, ratings by national accredidation boards, and ratings by Consumer Reports and US News and World Report, among others.

The American Hospital Association annual rankings (2010 last published) can be found here -

If you did not get adequate responses to your question, ASSUMING you were the responsible adult (parent or guardian or conservator, as applicable), then you should talk to the chief medical officer at the facility.

If you have other complaints or issues, the state hospital accredidation board is probably the place to go.

I know its a little late now but might help if anyone else looks at this wondering same question. They are not good with communicating. They didnt follow through with treatment plan. They didnt get a hold of any of the previous doctors to get our sons back ground. They were not giving him his meds because they didnt know. We talked they never seemed to listen when we got his present counslor involed they relased him and said that they were not there to help him just to watch him. They provided a very expensive babysitting service. That was it. I am not happy with the services. They told us several times how many kids they had and how over worked they were. Like most of the medical field they are in it for the money! Fill up the beds. My child also was hit by another child while in care again funny the day before he was released kinda makes you wonder. I am very skeptical about this palce and would think twice about sending my child here. Unless your child just needs someone to watch them for the 72 hour watch after a sucidial attempt and then get released then it would be fine. But dont expect services other than that.
