Most of it - Angies List takes an advertising fee cut. Various prior vendor responses indicate AL may get from 10-30% of the amount they bill you for the Deal or Coupon, the rest goes to the contractor as soon as he says the job has started, or at the end of the 30 day refund period if not used.

Note the deals, even though called Angies List Deal or Angies List Big Deal, are actually contractor/vendor advertising offers, jsut listed through AL - they are not funded by or "offered" directly by AL - which is why they relate to a specific vendor only, not a generic deal on certain types of work.
