This is James W. in Member Care. I'm happy to help!

Service Providers are able to see the name of the member who submitted feedback on them. This is to help the provider recall the work being reviewed. Service providers never want to see a negative review about their service quality, but most take those reviews as a guide to improve. Many providers with negative reviews will work to repair their rating by addressing the member's concerns. Every service provider rated on Angie’s List has the opportunity to follow our protocols to respond to reviews submitted about them. It is extremely rare that service providers threaten members for their reviews on Angie’s List. If this should ever happen to you, please let us know so we can track such activity.

I can verify that we will only share your contact information with those service providers you submit a review on, and companies that provide services on behalf of Angie's List. We will not rent, share, sell, or trade your information with any other providers. You can review our privacy policy by going here.
