Extra high ceiling popcorn removal costs

My ceiling is 22ft high. Initially I was getting quotes of $1-$2 per sq ft for popcorn removal and retexture until I told them the height of the ceiling. Now most wont even touch it. How much extra do you think I should have to pay for the extra height.

Depends on contractor - but a commercial drywall or office building remodeling contractor used to high ceilings would probably charge about 10-15% more if a powerlift would fit in there (can fit into normal office halls) - if no oversize entry then would need wheeled scaffolding so I would guess around 20-30% higher cost. But expect a wide range of prices between contractors.
