Frameless Glass Shower Dilemma

I am in the midst of a bathroom remodel and have a custom-built shower taking shape. I have unexpectedly gotten word from my frameless glass wall supplier/installer bidder that an enclosure of our size can not be made truly frameless and that a metal trim piece is required across the top of the entire enclosure. Aside from that, this company is now also telling me that the glass door will not be able to be mounted onto another glass piece, and that it can ONLY be mounted onto one of my walls. Taken together these changes affect my design quite a bit. not sure whether to believe this company or if this is a case where they are trying to recover on an under-quoted job by substituting with a lower cost (either labor, materials or both) approach. Any really good glass enclosure people to talk to in Southern Cali?

Before you make a plans to do your Custom Shower most expensive is a glass door . better found standart frameless stock door and to do your planing around . This way you SAVE Money. Another way only money and pay for custom door and no way around.
