Freezer not getting cold enough, but fridge side is fine. (Frigidaire side-by-side)

It's a Frigidaire side-by-side model# FFHS2311LWO. Freezer temp control is set to 9 (highest) and is reading 20 degrees F after leaving a thermometer in freezer for a week. But refrigerator side is set to 6 and measures in perfectly at around 33F. The refrigerator used to make a rapid clicking sound for a few seconds every time the fridge side door was opened. Did that since it was new. It has stopped making that sound since this freezer issue began. I read somewhere that the rapid clicking sound is normal and is just the defrost timer resetting itself. Is this true? If so, I'm wondering if the defrost timer has gone bad? I see no frost anywhere in the freezer compartment though, so I'm puzzled. Also, I cleaned the coils in back recently since this issue began, so that rules that out. Also, the fridge seems to almost constantly be running. I barely ever hear it turn off anymore.
