Gas wall furnace, ten years old, burners don't always light or re-light without hitting side of furnance. All HVAC

All HVAC technicians claim that furnace works fine, has done the same thing since installation. The thermostat has been replaced several times but furnace won't come on at 80 degree setting with inside room temperature 58 degrees .Unit is heat only.. After hitting the side of the furnace, the burner may light and relight for 2-3 hours and then won't light again until someone hits it, which doesn't work every time. Most troubleshooting says to call a professional, I have and the furnace is still not working because none of them will admit there is a problem . What part is sticking and how do I change it?
