HOW DO I FIND A CONTRACTOR TO REPLACE A FLAT ROOF?

MY FARM HOUSE HAS A PEAKED ROOF ON FRONT THAT IS SHINGLED. BEHIND THAT IS FLAT ROOF IN NEED OF REPAIRS. THEN ATTACHED TO THAT IS ANOTHER PEAKED ROOF WITH A FLAT BEHIND IT. THE FIRST FLAT ROOF IS LEAKING AND NEEDS IMMEDIATE REPAIR.

Angie's List itself is not going to segregate usual peaked roof shingle contractors from flat room hot-mop or membrane roof contractors.

Personally, I would google or use yellow pages to find which companies advertise flat roofs in their ads, then from that list check ratings and reviews on Agnie's List roofers (Search the List) to pick a couple that look good from ratings and reviews. Then call them and grill them on their actual experience and percentage of jobs doing your type of roof - be it EPDM, Hypalon, hot mop builtup, IRMA, or whatever. Make sure they are experienced in your type, or you will get a poor job or them experimenting without knowledge. Flat roofs are bad enough without letting an amateur loose on them.
