Hello, I am a novice home owner with 2 HVAC units. How often should they be serviced by a HVAC technician ?

There are 2 units. One is a 4 ton unit and the other a 2 Ton unit. They are both Trane units .

In my opinion, if you change the filters when needed, once per year is enough. That said we have customers that insit on twice per year, whether they need it or not.


Other contractor's may also say twice per year, because they believe it.


We have thousands of service agreement customers, once per yaer, and have no issues.We only send NATE Certified techs, no maintenance techs here.
