Help, my dog has ear mites and after repeated treatments, still not rid of them. Matters worse, he has scratched ear and got infection.

After repeated treatments, he still has ear mites and has scratched the ear so bad, that he has a mess and some infection. What else can I do? Have cleaned it with alcohol before placing in the ear drops and hope to clear up infection, too. What else may help

Wash all toys and bedding to make sure you get rid of the eggs. Clean the ears with warm soapy water, before putting in the medicine.

Use a medicine that will also stop the itching.

Dr. Dan has a wonderful web page on ear mites and other things.

Also we have several products that can help, with the itching.
