Home alarm system disconnection

The alarm system is not connected with any Service company. However, it goes off randomly and I have to push button to turn it off. It is very annoying.

To totally disable it, a Handyman should be able to handle that - just removing the panel and capping off the wires to it, and remounting the panel so you don't have an exposed box and big (probably) unpainted area on the wall. Or cap the wires and put a blank cover plate over the box and leave exposed.

Obviously, an alarm company could do this too.

Two other options - if you have the code, just use it to turn the system OFF.

Other option - disconnect all the incoming detector leads from the busses in the panel, so there is nothing connected to the panel.

Bear in mind - in doing this, you may be disconnecting an alarm that is telling you something legitimate - an open window or door, a carbon monoxide or water detector correctly identifying a problem, etc.
