How do I become a Home Stager? Do I have to have to have Interior Decorator "schooling?" How/where do I start?

I have been told by many people that I have a knack for decorating. (Anything/everything, but prefer home interiors.) We put our own home up for sale about 3 years ago in Reno NV. I did some basic staging. My Realtor told me I had done a better job than some of the pro's! I have a very creative mind and love to be unique & stylish when it comes to decorating my own home. I have several relatives that have asked me to come to their homes and decorate for them. They also seem to like my input, if nothing else. I think I would fit right in! Thank you in advance for your answers and input.

I am a full time Realtor and the staging person I use is both RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) and HSR (Home Staging Resource) certified. If you are looking to stage homes for sale, I would look into these certifications.

That is really the only advice I can give you. It is a totally different ball game if you are looking to decotrate friends homes, as part of real estate staging is to make a lived in home not look lived in, and your friends probably don't want that look.
